Dry or Gravy Assam Prawns?

It's my first time to come across Assam Prawn paste in HK, let alone cooking this sumptuous dish before.


Back home (i.e. Kuching, Sarawak), we were pampered, mum was always the one cooking everything. Our task was to finish all the delicious food that she cooked!

We were thrilled to get hold if this paste. We missed the home food so much, we tried both ways of cooking Assam Prawns, by adding egg, it gives you a dry dish. Yet by adding more water, you get sourish yet spicy and sweet flavour gravy Assam.
